Our weekend get-a-way...

The following pictures are from this last weekend.  We stayed at Tundra Lodge waterpark in Green Bay Friday night which was lot's of fun.  Saturday we drove up and down Door County.  We also took the ferry out to Washington Island.  The ride back wasn't so much fun.  The water was getting a little rough by then.  The cars were getting jolted around and waves were splashing up over the edge onto the cars.  Not for me thanks.  We drove down to Manitowoc Saturday night because we weren't able to get reservations any closer to the peninsula.  We stayed at the AmericInn there which had a horribly uncomfortable bed, unless of course you enjoy sleeping on a slab of concrete!!  This was compared to the most comfortable bed I had ever slept on the night before at Tundra.  The couch and chair were made in the same place.  We lived.  We visited the Maritime museum in Manitowoc, had pizza at Tony's and made our way back home.  If I go to Door county again, it will be a girl(s) only trip.  I'll take the time to tour all the cool little shops in the little port towns on the west side.  There were many missed kodak moments as well.  Too much traffic and too many people this particular weekend.  But, I'll be back one day! (:  It was a nice get-a-way.
