Dad was home...

We brought Dad home Saturday and Sunday.  Saturday he was real good.  His mind was good and he was happy to be home.  Sunday he was tired and seemed more confused.  On Saturday, I made his favorite meal which was mashed potatoes with hamburger gravy and green beans.  Brownie and ice cream for dessert.   He seem's to be accepting the nursing home better now.  He talked about how he liked to be up and going early in the morning.  He get's up, eat's and does some kind of excercises early in the morning, nap's, eat's lunch, usually nap's again.  Sometimes they have some kind of music or singing that Mom and him listen too but usually he sleeps through the afternoon.  After supper he wakes up more and then is anxious to get to bed.  His mind does seem to be clearer though.  I think it's the routine of things and he doesn't have anyone getting upset with him, everyone can hear him and is right there to help him and can understand what he needs.  When his routine is disrupted, he get's more confused.  He's doing well now.  Mom still goes in the late afternoon, has supper with him and I pick her up again at 7:30, after he's gone to bed.  These picture's were taken Saturday, Nov. 6.
